  1. Increasing salt intake doesn’t promote the flushing of toxins from the body. The point of consuming salt while on keto, but especially while fasting, is to replace minerals that get flushed with the increased consumption of fluids – mainly water. This in turn keeps electrolytes at appropriate levels and as a result makes the dieter not feel crappy.
